BC Liquor Distribution Branch resuming regular supplier payment schedule December 1, 2025
November 25, 2025
Please be reminded that on December 1, 2025, the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) will resume its regular schedule for supplier payments (i.e. 14 days from the time of receipt by LDB, per payment terms). Upon the resumption of Cannabis Operations on October 27, following the end to the BC General Employees’ Union strike action, the LDB made a temporary change to pay suppliers weekly. At the time, the LDB stated that it would revert to regular payment terms after a month.
If you have any questions about payments, please contact LDB Accounts Payable at Accounts.Payable@bcldb.com.
Thank you for your cooperation and partnership as we return to normal operations.
BC Cannabis Wholesale resuming operations – important details for Licensed Producers
October 27, 2025
As announced October 26, the BC General Employees’ Union (BCGEU) has reached a tentative agreement, meaning that the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) will resume BC Cannabis Wholesale operations as of today, October 27 following the conclusion of strike action. Please see below for important information for Licensed Producers (LPs) as we work to resume operations as efficiently as possible.
Receiving appointments
Please note that standing appointments will be rescheduled in order to accommodate shipments that were already enroute when Richmond Distribution Centre (RDC) operations were previously halted. We will contact you when we are ready to resume regular standing appointment schedules. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
LDB Cannabis Operations will make every effort to be flexible in its receiving times and will accommodate additional receiving appointments where possible in the upcoming weeks. Please email the RDC Logistics team to schedule new appointments: RDClogistics@bcldb.com.
Note that we will be working overtime to accommodate high volume and may offer weekend appointments.
Additional items of note:
- Supplier payments: For the first month following resumption of operations, the LDB will make payments weekly before reverting to regular payment terms.
- Product order quantity limits: To ensure equitable access to high-demand products, we are implementing a temporary 20 case limit per wholesale customer order on high-demand products.
- Resumption of administrative services: Purchase orders, wholesale price changes, product registration, and return-to-vender processing will re-commence, but please be advised that there may be delays and changes to normal schedules and deadlines as our teams work through the backlog of requests.
We thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation and we will continue to work closely with you and our industry partners to support the resumption of operations. Our aim is to ensure a balanced approach between product receiving, and assembly and shipment of customer orders.
